Even though any attempt at resuscitation is better than none...

WITHOUT HIGH QUALITY CPR, A PATIENT'S CHANCE OF FULL RECOVERY IS DIMINISHED

Providing CPR is an equally important part of the chain of survival in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. We want to recognise those businesses who provide CPR courses and training to the community, because the more people out in communities who know how to perform lifesaving skills, the more lives that can potentially be saved when combined with the use of an AED! We want to let people know where to get trained on how to deliver good quality CPR if needed.

Businesses and organisations that deliver CPR courses may qualify to become a CPT Network Member, provided they have a defibrillator on site wherever their courses are delivered, and in any office where the Heart of the Nation logo is displayed.

As a key component in the chain of survival, CPR is acknowledged by Heart of the Nation as being crucial to the contribution made to the recovery of the SCA patient.

The value of high-quality CPR being performed on a patient in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest cannot be overstated.  Taking a course in CPR and first aid, is highly recommended, and we take great pride in recommending Australian Red Cross and Surf Life Saving NSW (and other state Surf Life Saving organisations) for full training on CPR.
