Using the yellow heart that you took home, have your family members try doing compressions on the heart for 2 minutes - play the song below (which goes for 2 minutes) to test their stamina!
Step 4 - Fundraise for an AED in Your Street
About 80% of sudden cardiac arrests occur in the home - but how far away is your nearest AED, and who is going to get it for you or a loved one who needs it?
Heart of the Nation has built a fundraising platform that allows you to start up a fundraiser for an AED to be placed in your street - on the side of someone's house or on their front porch - for the neighbours to access if needed.
From just $70 per home, across 40 homes, the cost of an AED is so small, and could potentially save a life.
When you create the fundraising page, you select the type of AED you would like, and then you can share the fundraising page link with your neighbours, your family, your friends, and once your fundraising target is hit, we will send you out your AED package so you can install it at the most appropriate location.
