HeartSine Product Correction 

Stryker, an AED manufacturer of Heartsine AEDs,
has issued an urgent Product Correction Notice for the HeartSine models of AEDs.

This is the Heartsine 350P, 360P and 500P AED models.

Once you have completed the form below,
there is no further action required.

8 simple steps to

identify and power cycle your AED

Watch the video below or follow the steps to ensure your AED remains rescue ready.

Locate the Serial Number

1  Locate the Serial Number_edited.png

Take your AED out of its case and turn it over.  You will find the Serial Number on the left-hand side of the AED  prefaced by S/N.   You will need this number when completing the form below.

Install the PadPak

3  Install the Pad _ battery pak_edited.

If you are installing the Pad / Battery PadPak for the first time, place the HeartSine AED face up and slide the PadPak into the AED unit until you hear the "double click" to indicate that the tabs on the right and left side of the PadPak are fully engaged.    If you have previously set up your AED, remove and re-insert the cartridge by pinching together the tabs on the right and left side of the PadPak and separate from the AED unit.  Once completed re-insert the cartridge again as outlined above.

Press the power button to turn the device ON

When you turn on your AED it will start to provide you instructions.  Listen for, but DO NOT FOLLOW, the voice prompts to ensure that no warning messages are played and that the device prompts are in the expected
language.

Check the Expiration Date

It's always important to check the expiry date of your pads and batteries.   In the HeartSine unit, the pads and battery come in a single cartridge.    No matter if you are looking at adult pads, or paediatric pads, the expiry date can be found when you turn your AED over, prefaced by an hourglass symbol and will appear in the date format of  (YYYY-MM-DD). If the current date is after the expiry date, please  get in touch with us so we can assist you in supplying a new PadPak for your AED.

Check the green light

Verify that the green status indicator is blinking to indicate the initial self test routine has been performed and the device is ready for use.

Listen to the prompts

• If you hear the message “Adult patient”, or “Call for medical assistance” no further action is needed.
• If you DO NOT hear a prompt, please contact us directly. 

Press the power button to turn the device OFF

To download these instructions simply 

Press the On/Off button to turn off the AED. Verify that the status indicator is flashing green. If you have not heard a warning message and the status indicator continues to flash green, the device is ready for use.
